Hey guys! We're getting corporate! Lets throw around some opinions on where we want the guild to head in the future. Do we want to focus solely on PVP? PVE? Farmers? Right wing political activity through our Guild's flying banner? Anything...within reason will be accepted! If you want justification for this thread, it is because I feel that we're sorta just floating around at the moment. Sometimes simply playing a game is not enough Lets up the ante a bit and get some...well MISSIONING HAPPENING!! WOOT!

Here is the answer from the 1337 oracle~~~ what's GW all about: 1. questing & missioning (when we r newb) - PVE 2. now we r quite exp, lets do some farming (for items and skills) - Unlocking 3. our characters build is now complete (or nearly), continue with our farming & capping...+ Guild Wars - PVP it is not Guild Wars without a guild war

I think talking about this is a good idea. Let me say first, that I'm happy to see some of the new recruits in the guild - the growth has been good and I feel that things are more active and lively than before. Hopefully we can keep it up, perhaps even with a "recruitment guideline" of some sort (gogo corporate power!).
Back to the original topic, in terms of our main activities, I think most of us enjoy a good variety of different things - some PvE missioning, GvG, 4v4... and whenever we're organised enough for it, Tombs. When Sorrow's Furnace is out (which is basically now), we've gotta check it out.
As for farming, I can act as the semi-invincimonk tank for 2-man farming in UW or FoW if anyone's interested. Solo works too, but it's much slower.

hmm good to see this corperate stuff at the guild forum doin strategic marketing atm and i see this stuff all the time back to topic i think it's great that everyone's contributing to new GVG / Tombs builds but the thing is we can talk all we want but we need the actual 8 players with all the characters and all the skills to be present and active therefore my suggestion of a vision is we all participate to achieve the strategies we have discussed cos right now some of the more expereinced player can fill those roles but we can't bring like 2 charactesr to a battle

Alright, it seems that after a good run of PVPing and some GVGing (disregarding our most recent set back, we are certainlly ready to take off. It may be the elitist part of me speaking, but it seems that we have a top notch bunch of PVPers within our guild of many. In terms of PVPing, we've had a good six of us experience the excitement of battling through 4 stages in tombs, and NEARLY, very nearly, reaching the fabled Halls of Heros. This enlightening moment led me to believe that, with the right leadership, we have the talent (albeit in a computer game) to be at least in the top 100. A simple reminder of strategies seems like a good idea atm. Everyone needs to know their roles, either that or learn to play a wider variety of roles! I know the majority of us can multi role....large exception being me of course who's simply too ...warrior minded. The dedication shown by many guilders is admirable to say the least. However, we must not lose track of this place called REALITY. As a responsible ex-guild leader (...my assignments are nearly done!!!) I'm urging each and every guilder to show some self control when it comes to the game. I've heard many damning reports of some guilders putting the game above things which really matter most. Please guys and girls, I urge you all to make sure you're still 1. alive when playing the game, 2. getting a good education.... so you can PVP better (go figure...) We've come very far from our humble beginning of Base and I, and it's simply grown and grown. Our recruiting strategy seems to be...working? Although we haven't grown much recently, except from the addition of Lothar and Solil (Edgar) this last week, it's been mostly stalemate. But... I'm not complaining, is anyone else? Anyway. I've got to say, seeing everyone on is one happy thing and I'm glad to be a part of this guild! So thanks to all you guys It's always a great pleasure to enjoy a good ol' day with ya'll

I haven't heard of anyone losing track of their real life yet... hopefully that ain't me I was going to make a big post about that HoH experience - I also think it showed that with the right organisation, we actually run an extremely good show. Now, I don't know anything about the other teams, of course; but I'd say there's a good chance we wiped out a bunch of highly-organised, team-speak/ventrilo-using teams that knew what they were doing. I guess what I'm saying is there's a lot of potential. I hope to see things continue in this vein, too. Ultimately, I think it comes down to PvP'ing a lot together, and continuing to recruit people who also PvP actively (PvE becomes less active over time - it's still fun of course, but it doesn't keep a guild active like PvP does).
